THE GIFT OF LIFE

The one thing that i ever did that made me feel like i was making a difference was donating blood. I am 1 pint shy of 5 gallons this makes me so sad and so upset and frustrated because due to my heart surgery i am not eligible to donate again until june of 2009. I know needles scare some people and honestly i dont like them either but somehow knowing i was helping someone else made it all worth the pain or nervousness. i have known people personally who's lives were saved by people who donated blood and that made it even more important to me. and to know that i am willing and wanting to donate and cant and knowing there are people who can and wont just upsets me.

Her eyes are cold and bloodshot
she hasn’t slept in days
And she'd give half of Texas
Just to take away the pain
She knows there’s a cure out there
And she knows its coming soon
cause if there ain‘t , she don’t know what she’ll do

Well, it's pain and tears it’s the sleepless nights
It's the falling down the stairs
it’s the tremors in her hand
She can hardly stand
When will this all go down
its meds every three hours it’s the anger she feels
its dyskensia setting in

When I look into your eyes I know why I’m fighting
Working hard to find a cure for this thing called Parkinson’s disease
Praying everyday that I wake up to see that this whole thing
Has disappeared from me.

Soldiers fighting on for our mission in hand
Marching on brave and strong
The struggles I battle each and everyday

Our battle is not fought with guns or grenades
But with the politicians who cannot see
What we need is for the money to come through
For netrp and stem cell
What a dream come true

My beautiful daughters

You never know or experience true love till you have the love of a child. My girls are my world and dont know what i would do without them. I am sure i wouldnt fight so hard for the things i do. They are what keeps me going, if not for them im sure i wouldnt have the will to get up everyday. maybe you think im crazy or maybe not. I have been reading pride and prejudice again lol jane austen is my favorite author Bri already wants to read it but i dont believe she is old enough just yet but believe me when she gets old enough i would love for her to read it and then have a discussion with her about whether she liked it or not. I have heard alot about the book Whithering heights, i just dont seem to be able to get into. I have been reading a few Amish books. I have decided i believe my mom is from Amish descent, she made pear butter the other day lol and one of the books i am reading is an Amish book and what do they make within the first few pages "pear butter " lol and now someone gave her a start to amish bread so she is baking Amish bread which is delicious lol. well i am off to bed for now i have been really sick lately so please pray for me
