LIFES JOURNEYS

No matter what path in life you decide to take there will always be struggles and trials. I have learned that you just need to hand things over to the one who can handle them which is Jesus Christ, I would not be here today if that were not the case because i know that i could not have made it through the last 5 years without his help. I know i could not have done this on my own strength. My strength comes from someone stronger than me.

I am thankful for so many things in my life. A family that loves me, my daughters who are my world by the way, a husband i love dearly, and friends i can lean on in time of need.

LIFE

I have learned that with every passing moment in someones life tragedy hits, a prayer is answered, a miracle happens, and someone loves you. It floors me to think about this, I mean to know that someone lovess me at all times is just amazing to me. I know that this is not new to most people and that i am slow for just now picking up on this ... lol but i never claimed to be the sharpest or brightest crayon in the box lol.

I know that no matter what the people who truly love you will always be there for you with all you have to deal with. I have also learned that people you thought would be there wont be. Like the song says unsinkable ships sink....

Well needless to say my life has been interesting these past couple of weeks. TO start things off i was in the emergency room with my baby girl (she is 6 yrs old) danielle because she swallows a nickel. I called her ped at 11pm on a saturday night. She advised me it would be safer to go have her xrayed to make sure the nickle wasnt stuck in her throat so off we went. Sat for 4 hours just to find out it had already moved where it should be. Next thing that happened was this past weekend where we almost got flooded. Now people who know where i live can understand why i would be scared. When the river raises that high that fast it is pretty scary. But thank GOD we were spared from the floods. Now today i had to take bri to see drbailey evidentally i dont know how she did it but she pulled a muscle in her back. So she is on rest for the next week or so. Just her luck, love her heart. And for those who dont know she has her first cell phone i know people think she is only 10 and doesnt need a cell phone but think about it from my point. When you find out that they find a bullet at the school where your babies go and the school is in lockdown and you live within spitting distance of the school and dont know about it. I want her to be able to call me if something happens at school without having to wait for every other kid to use the phone and if she has her own cell phone then there you go she can call me. The thing is she has learned to text i know like mother like daughter. she burns that phone up by texting and listening to ring tones lol

just for fun

Amy tagged me in this game.

These are the rules:
1. Choose the 4th folder where you store your pictures on the computer
2. Select the 4th picture in the folder
3. Explain the picture
4. Tag 4 people to do the same
5. No cheating (cropping, editing, etc.)

Ok this one definatley needs explaining, lol. This was taken after a walkathon i organized for parkinsons disease, after the walk the Drifters performed a concert. After the concert the Drifters and some of my closest friends went to the local mexican resturaunt where we had a 7 course meal provided (for free by the owner I LOVE YOU FOR THAT FRANK) and this was a picture taken at the resturaunt of andre his wife and his daughter.

so i tag

not anyone following me to tag lol

my life as a parkie

In The Life of A Parkinson's Patient.

First let me start by saying, I have parkinsons it does not have me. Over the past four years i have

been dealt one disaster after another. The very fist thing that brought my world to a screaching holt

was on September 30th 2004. That day my life changed, I was diagnosed with parkinson's disease.

The girl i thought i was is no longer there. Before i was a quiet standoffish person. Now i am

completely different, i am someone who believes in what she stands for, and does not give up easy. I

believe that no matter what you should never settle for less than what you deserve, and i believe i

deserve the resources for a cure for parkinson's disease. I dont think it should be left up for just one

person to decide the lives of millions of people just like me that have to live their life day to day

because you don't know how your day will be. I know there are different disease that effects millions

of other people each day. What i would like to see is researchers being able to do what they have to in

order to find a cure for people with all diseases. My stand on Parkinson's is very dear to my heart, if

it had not been for being diagnosed i would have never have met all the people i have. I love every one

i have ever met through parkinson's . I want to be apart of something remarkable , I pray that in my

lifetime there will be a cure, so my children nieces and nephew even my future grandchildren will not

have to hear the dreaded words "I am sorry but it is my concern you have parkinson's disease." My life

is committed to raising awareness for this disease and all others that are life threatning to another

human life. There have been so many people who have touched my life within the last 4 years, it is

impossible to name them all. Chad was the first person who i talked to that had parkinson's. To me

he is my hero in this fight we fight everyday. He is also the one who actually got me started in this

fight. He told me that i could join this army and fight the fight with confidence or just sit on my butt

feeling sorry for myself. Mike is another dear friend , i had hit my lowest point after being dxd just a

few months later i stumbled upon a chatroom which was a support system for people with parkinsons,

called ParkieJam. That night without Mike knowing he kept me from doing the unthinkable. I

thought my kids my husband and my family would be better off without me being a burden to them.

Mike taught me a valuable lesson , that no matter what life deals you your family needs you more

than you know. That is so true even though i feel as i am a burden to them, when i look at my girls i

know that i have to do this. So they don't have to face this. I know now im not alone in this fight i

have alot of family friends that care and would do anything to help me. Another person who has

impacted my life in the parkinsons community is Carol, she showed me that no matter what no matter

what life throws at you. You can come out of it gracefull and shining as bright as the stars in the sky.
Like i said "I have parkinon's it does not have me." My mom has showed me that no matter what your

kids go through, your mom is always there for you, to pick you up when you fall (literally). The

support of my community has been overwhelming and gives me hope.
